Going to high volume music clubs isn’t that appealing to a lot of people of different ages; however, some other people like to switch between partying and going to cultural events on the weekends. Going to theaters, concerts, art galleries, photo shows, among others, this makes humans search for cultural entertainment for any number or reasons, a way to expand our minds and travel through hemispheres.
El Poblado offers good quality options, here you will find where to look or call before going, depending on the changing themes. I suggest the following list:
Casa Teatro El Poblado
It started as a group of friends dream, for having a meeting place on Medellin’s south side, where they could have an art gallery, a theater and a coffee shop. Casa Teatro El Poblado is a non-profit foundation which stimulates different art branches of the city. A meeting place through techniques, home of plastic arts, theater, dancing, all of the scenic arts. This is place where you can find out what’s happening in the city on art thanks to its multi fun and professional content; they also promote artistic international expressions.
It’s worth visiting, not only because of its select and respectful content, but also because of its lovely structure. They always update their website and social networks, so you’ll always find new content.

Located at Calle 9 # 43B-80 El Poblado, they are a theater improvisation specialized group with great experience, they’ve been entertaining children, youngsters and adults for over 15 years.
The Acción Impro lounge is set to promote creativity, theater diffusion and artistic events. They give people the possibility to keep updated on arts with a weekly dynamic content. This lounge has a big space for scenic shows and concerts.

Museo El Castillo
El Castillo has permanent exhibitions of objects like porcelain and crystal, gobelin tapestry, antiques, paintings, sculptures, among others. It offers a great variety of exhibitions and also has lessons to learn different artistic expressions like music, dancing, special workshops, among others. Thanks to its special architecture, this place has different alternatives so people of different ages have a great time learning and enjoying themselves.

Ballet Folklórico de Antioquia
Being recognized by its artistic national and international quality thanks for its 25 years representing Colombia, these talented dancing groups will give you a great show on their Poblado headquarter, shows about dancing, Colombia, its different regions and traditions. It´s a professional dance and music company, it’s also a dance school and it has a coffee place for conversations and events.
